During Labor Day Weekend of 2007 cameramen working for
the local news network in Los Angeles caught a number
of women who would have benefited from a closet full of
plus size beach dresses. Anyone watching the local news,
with its repeated references to the scorching temperatures,
saw a number of women who had failed to respond to any
recent ads for woman’s plus size sun dresses.
A woman who wears a dress size that falls between 12
and 28 is said to wear a “plus” size. When
on the beach, such a woman might want to wear one of
the casual plus size dresses. While at home and while
shopping she might enjoy donning some trendy plus size
women’s clothing.
Worn well, a plus size dress never accentuates the
pudginess of the woman who is wearing it. A wise woman
buys a plus size dress that covers much of her body
in a solid, dark color. She might have some black outfits,
but she should not feel that black is the only color
for her. Ladies plus size clothing comes in chocolaty
brown, olive green, charcoal gray and dark blue.
A woman who must now wear a plus size might well hope
to “shrink” her body to the point where
it can fit into a size 8 or 10. Still, dieting experts
do not suggest that any dieter limit her participation
in various activities. Even a plus size woman should
not hesitate to accept an invitation to a formal dance.
After accepting such an invitation, she would probably
need to do some shopping. She might want to purchase
one of the plus size semi-formal dresses. She might
wonder how best to accessorize such a dress.
She ought to buy a long necklace and a clutch purse.
When a plus size dress has become the background for
a long necklace and a clutch purse, the eyes of the
public take little note of the size of the figure that
carries those two accessories. Unlike plus dresses,
those accessories are not extra large, but they provide
the perfect complement to the plus size dress.
